Ren is pioneering a new approach to building intelligent computing systems, based on an entirely new framework for Machine Learning called the Universal State Machine (USM). The USM enables a new kind of intelligent system; one that is not built on the primitives of Deep Learning, and does not come with its inherent limitations.

Our goal is to leverage the USM to develop frontier-grade AI systems (like Open AI’s
ChatGPT or Google’s Gemini) at a fraction of the cost.

The USM does not use the same computing primitives as Deep Learning, and needs a new Kernel for executing its algorithms. We are building a team of excellent Software Engineers to design and engineer the USM Kernel.

You will be working in-person closely with the founders at the Ren office in Port City, Colombo.

What You Could Work On

Depending on your unique background, skillset, and interests, future career tracks within Ren's business and operations divisions include:

• Office Operations & Regional Infrastructure: Managing the day-to-day functions of our Port City office hub, establishing workflows, overseeing facilities, handling procurement, and managing local vendors.

• HR Logistics & Talent Coordination: Supporting our fast-growing team through the coordination of internal communications, management of travel logistics, and execution of new hire onboarding architectures (hardware setup, workspace prep, and orientation).

• Business Development & Go-To-Market Strategy: Conducting market research, identifying strategic deployment verticals for the USM framework, and initiating outreach to regional partners, suppliers, or future clients.

• Fundraising Support & Investor Relations: Partnering with company leadership to develop elite fundraising materials (including pitch decks and strategic ecosystem briefs) and translating complex technical concepts into real-world commercial impact narratives.

• Strategic Marketing & Brand Governance: Driving Ren’s public narrative across branding, digital asset execution, press management, and product launch campaigns to safeguard our core values and category-defining ambition.

• Cross-Border Compliance & Legal Operations: Coordinating between internal teams and top-tier external counsel (across both US and Sri Lankan jurisdictions) to manage corporate data rooms, board formalities, and special economic zone regulatory requirements.

• Tax & Financial Accounting: Serving as the operational guardian of our financial books, managing relationships with global tax advisors, preparing audit materials, and handling recurring statutory remittances like EPF/ETF.
